Data Analyst (Power BI) – Logistics / Supply Chain | On Site Upminster | 40-50k

You’re good with Power BI. But do you actually define anything?

You can write solid DAX. You understand data models. You build good dashboards.

But when it comes to deciding what a KPI actually means… that still sits somewhere else.

This role changes that.

You’re not being brought in to build more reports. You’re being brought in to own the logic behind the numbers.

You’ll sit at the heart of a logistics and operations business where data drives real decisions. Right now, KPIs aren’t always consistent, teams interpret things differently, and too much logic lives in reports instead of being properly defined.

You’ll fix that.

What you’ll actually be doing:

• Working with operational teams to understand how things really work
• Defining KPIs that are clear, agreed and actually usable
• Turning vague requirements into proper definitions
• Mapping data into structured models
• Writing logic and rules that others can build from
• Challenging numbers when they don’t stack up
• Building in Power BI once the foundations are right

This will suit you if:

• You’ve built dashboards but questioned the numbers behind them
• You’ve had to challenge stakeholders on definitions
• You enjoy figuring out how things should work, not just reporting on what’s there
• You want more ownership, not just tickets

You don’t need pure warehouse experience. If you’ve worked in logistics, supply chain, transport or any operational environment, that helps.

You’ll need:

• Power BI (Desktop + Service)
• DAX
• Data modelling
• Power Query

Important bits:

• 100% office-based in Upminster, so must be within commutable distance
• You must have worked within Logistics, supply chain or warehousing before.
• You’ll spend time with operational teams on-site and visiting sites.

This isn’t for you if you just want to build dashboards.

It is for you if you want to own how a business defines and uses its data.
