
Job title: Graduate Submarines Supply Chain
Location: Barrow (Cumbria). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-5 days per week.
Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role Description
Within the Supply Chain function, you will work with suppliers to source, place, and manage contracts, ensuring activities deliver value through effective planning and supplier management. The role involves managing supplier relationships to ensure governance, commercial and legal compliance while maintaining commitments to cost, quality, schedule and sustainability. You will develop and influence relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring supply chain considerations are reflected in decision-making processes. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will solve problems, drive continuous improvement, demonstrate best practise operational procurement, uphold professional behavioural standards and positively influence supply chain performance, helping to achieve operational excellence while supporting key business objectives and strategic decisions.
Core duties
- Supporting all aspects of Supply Chain related activity to cost, quality and schedule
- Support with contract management activity; placing & managing contracts, measuring supplier and schedule performance
- Undertaking reporting, data analysis and update contracting documents using digital toolsets such as SAP.
- Following best practice in line with our procurement governance, business requirements and performance objectives.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support operational objectives and supply chain performance.
- Help resolve supply chain issues and drive continuous improvement activities, contributing to reduced risks and improved operational performance.

Qualification Requirements
As a minimum requirement you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: Procurement, Commercial, Business Management, Logistics, Economics, Engineering or Law.
