A major global organisation is looking to appoint a Global Procurement Director to lead strategic procurement across AI, cloud and technology infrastructure.
This is a high-profile leadership role with significant exposure to senior technology executives and a remit covering some of the most strategically important and rapidly evolving areas of enterprise technology.
Role Summary
You will lead procurement strategy across a broad global technology portfolio, including:
- Artificial Intelligence and emerging AI technologies
- Large Language Models, AI agents and specialist AI vendors
- Cloud platforms and services
- Technology infrastructure
- Enterprise software and technology services
- New and evolving commercial models
This is not a traditional sourcing-led role. The focus is on acting as a strategic commercial partner to senior technology leadership, helping shape how the organisation buys, structures and manages complex technology partnerships.
You will oversee significant global spend, lead and develop a team of experienced procurement professionals, and work closely with global delivery resources supporting sourcing and contracting activity.
Required Experience
We are looking for a senior procurement leader who combines strong leadership capability with genuine technology expertise.
You should bring
- Extensive strategic procurement experience across technology
- Strong knowledge of AI, cloud, infrastructure or adjacent technology categories
- Exposure to emerging technology markets and evolving vendor ecosystems
- Experience managing major global spend and strategic technology suppliers
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to challenge established commercial models
- Excellent senior stakeholder management skills
- Experience engaging with C-suite or equivalent technology leadership
- A strong track record of building and developing high-performing teams
This opportunity will particularly suit someone who can operate at the intersection of technology, commercial strategy and procurement, rather than someone focused primarily on running sourcing processes.
Why Consider It?
This is a rare opportunity to take a senior leadership role within a global organisation investing heavily in AI and wider technology transformation.
The position offers significant visibility, genuine influence over major technology decisions, a strong leadership remit and excellent longer-term progression potential.
The overall package is highly competitive and reflects the seniority, scope and strategic importance of the role.
