Role Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support procurement and project
delivery activities for DEEP in the UK. This role will assist with supplier coordination, purchasing
processes, and project accounting for the development and deployment of DEEP’s subsea
habitats and associated operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of
purchase orders, tracking of project costs, and maintaining supplier and budget records. This
position is ideal for someone early in their procurement or project management career who is
eager to grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Procurement Support
- Assist in preparing and managing purchase orders, quotations, and supplier correspondence.
- Support identification and onboarding of new suppliers under guidance from senior team
- members.
- Gather and verify supplier information to ensure compliance with DEEP’s quality and safety
- standards.
- Track PO status, delivery timelines, and cost variations, escalating issues as needed.
Project Accounting
- Maintain accurate cost tracking and budget monitoring for assigned projects.
- Support project leads with financial reporting, including actuals vs. forecast, invoice
reconciliation, and variance analysis.
- Partner with Finance to ensure timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.
- Prepare regular financial summaries and dashboards for reviews.
Supplier Coordination
- Communicate with suppliers to monitor progress, resolve queries, and maintain
documentation.
- Track performance metrics (on-time delivery, cost control, quality compliance).
- Help coordinate supplier review meetings and performance updates.
Project Administration
- Support project setup, planning, and document control.
- Maintain project plans, risk registers, and procurement schedules.
- Coordinate with engineering and logistics to ensure timely flow of materials and information.
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
Stakeholder Communication
- Build effective working relationships across engineering, finance, and operations.
- Provide clear, accurate updates to procurement and project leads to support decision-making.
Required Experience, Qualifications and Skills
- 1–3 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, or projects (ideally in OEM engineering or manufacturing).
- Has worked in a safety regulated industry such as Aerospace or Marine Engineering
- Basic understanding of procurement and project management principles.
- Strong attention to detail with good numerical and financial literacy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and common project tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or
similar).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Interest in or progress toward professional qualifications (APICS, ISM, PMI) is a plus.
