In Construction Delivery, we oversee the delivery of build and rebuild projects. We are responsible for managing the timely construction of projects, ensuring consistency, quality, and value for money. We work with multiple stakeholders, including Responsible Bodies, Local Authorities, Local Planning Authorities, and the supply chain to support construction programme delivery. We strive to deliver construction projects quickly, at good value, and to the highest quality.
The postholder will provide administrative and transactional support for construction procurement using the Jaggaer and Award platforms, ensuring accurate data entry, document management, and timely support to project teams to enable us to deliver our building projects.
Job Description
Your key responsibilities will include
- Setting up procurement projects in Jaggaer based on pipeline updates.
- Uploading and publishing procurement documents such as EOIs, PITT, and ITTs.
- Managing clarifications and maintain communication logs in the system.
- Assisting with importing submissions into Award and supporting evaluators with access and queries.
- Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities and ensuring documents are filed correctly.
- Identifying where projects have not been closed down and working with project teams to ensure that the necessary steps are taken to manage closures consistently and accurately.
Apprenticeship
The successful applicants will also benefit from undertaking a Level 3 Procurement Supply Assistant apprenticeship. - You must have lived in the UK for 3 years prior to apprenticeship start date and not be undertaking another apprenticeship at the same time.

Interview

The interview will involve two types of questions – Strength-based and Behaviours.

Terms and conditions of candidates transferring from ALBs and NDPBs
Bodies that are not accredited by the Civil Service Commission and are not able to advertise at Across Government on Civil Service jobs will be treated as external new starters and will come into DfE on modernised terms and conditions with a salary at the band minimum.
Bodies that are accredited by the Civil Service Commission but do not have civil service status will be offered modernised terms and will not have continuous service recognised for leave or sickness benefits. Salaries should be offered at band minimum, but there is some flexibility where this would cause a detriment to the individual.

Staff will transfer over on their existing salary (on lateral transfer) and any pay above the DfE pay band maximum will be paid as a mark time allowance. Staff moving on promotion will have their salaries calculated using the principles set out in the attached OGD transfer supplementary information.
