Procurement Officer

As the Procurement Officer, you will have responsibility for sourcing goods and services across the organisation, ensuring quality, value, continuity of supply and contract management activities.

You will oversee procurement for our existing homes and offices, whilst also leading procurement activity for new care home openings, working closely with Project Managers, Interior Designers, suppliers and the Senior Leadership Team.

You will identify opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and ensure procurement processes are simple, effective and aligned with our values and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

framework.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Researching suppliers and obtaining quotations to ensure the best quality and value.
• Developing preferred supplier lists, procurement guides and resources for managers.
• Carrying out supplier performance reviews and sharing findings with senior leaders and the Board.
• Managing procurement budgets and producing monthly expenditure reports.
• Working collaboratively with Operations, Finance and the Senior Leadership Team to support strategic decision making.

A relevant qualification in Procurement, Business, Finance within similar environment

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and supplier performance.
• Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
• Experience producing reports and analysing data.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
