The Role
As a Procurement Manager, you will work within a close‑knit team to support the Senior Management Team in delivering high‑value services across multiple clients. You will apply a high degree of rigour and thoroughness to ensure all procurement processes and governance meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting clients in developing procurement strategies from project inception to completion.
- Preparing full procurement suites, including contract folders, specifications, KPIs, and price frameworks.
- Ensuring compliance with the Procurement Act 2023, ethical sourcing, and diversity initiatives.
- Acting as a central point of contact for clients and contractors, managing clarifications, assessment summaries, and technical marking moderation.
- Leading client meetings, preparing agendas, and delivering accurate data and pricing analysis reports.
- Evaluating and providing feedback to contractors and service providers to ensure the best outcomes for our schemes.
About You
We are looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Public Sector Expertise:
Demonstrable experience in public sector procurement, with a strong understanding of the Procurement Act 2023.
- Analytical Mindset:
Proven ability in data/pricing analysis and managing high contract value processes.
- Critical Thinking:
The ability to understand complex processes and make informed judgments to solve client problems.
- Technical Proficiency:
High‑level capabilities in MS Word and Excel, with the ability to formulate complex information into clear messages for various audiences.
- Accountability: A track record of taking ownership of projects and maintaining high quality throughout their lifecycle.
Desirable Qualifications
- Working towards CIPS or PRINCE 2 qualification.
- Working knowledge of the Section 20 leaseholder consultation process.
- Broad understanding of the social housing sector.
