Procurement Manager

Birmingham | £60,000 + Benefits | Exclusive Opportunity

An opportunity to shape and elevate procurement within a large, complex organisation undergoing significant change and investment.

I'm exclusively partnering with a well-established organisation seeking a commercially minded Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role in strengthening procurement capability, embedding governance, and driving greater value across a diverse spend portfolio.

Managing approximately £200m of spend and a broad supplier base, you'll lead procurement activity across a mix of operational and corporate categories, delivering strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier performance improvements, robust contract management and Procurement Act 2023 compliance.

This is a highly visible role with genuine influence across the business. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to develop procurement best practice, improve commercial outcomes and create a more mature, compliant procurement function capable of supporting future business objectives.

What We're Looking For

Strong working knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023

Recent public sector procurement experience

Experience leading end-to-end tenders and sourcing exercises

Strong supplier and contract management capability

Experience across direct, indirect or mixed category environments

Confident stakeholder management and influencing skills

MRO, engineering, manufacturing or other asset-intensive sector experience would be advantageous

Previous leadership or people management experience is desirable
