Interim Senior Procurement Officer - Working From

A leading organisation delivering major infrastructure projects within the Utilities sector is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join their procurement team on an interim basis.

As Senior Buyer, you will lead end-to-end supplier sourcing and tendering strategies for construction projects and key components, with a focus on electrical, mechanical and civil packages, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery. Developing and implementing sourcing strategies for civil, electrical, and mechanical works

Negotiating supplier contracts and commercial terms

Building cost models and conducting market analysis to optimise pricing

Managing supplier relationships and monitoring performance against KPIs

This role is integral to supporting the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects.

Proven experience as a Senior Buyer gained within the construction sector in the UK.

Knowledge of electrical equipment, construction materials, and EPC project workflows would be beneficial.Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work on-site in Northamptonshire 2 days per week

Competitive day rate of £300-£350Hybrid working arrangement
