Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services necessary for our operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics and proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS.

Duties

Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
Analyze market trends and supplier performance to inform purchasing decisions.
Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
Monitor and report on purchasing metrics, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Lead cross-functional teams in supply chain initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing or retail environment.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
Proficiency in ERP systems
Solid understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
