£80,000–£95,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

Location: Chelmsford

We are supporting a well-established organisation recruiting a strategic Head of Procurement to join its leadership team. This role offers the opportunity to modernise the procurement function, build capability and shape long-term sourcing strategy during a period of continued growth.

Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will lead all direct procurement for a key business unit and manage all indirect procurement activity for the location. You will take full ownership of procurement strategy, supplier development, risk management and continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for:

• Setting and executing procurement strategy.
• Leading direct and indirect sourcing activity.
• Delivering value, resilience and supply chain optimisation.
• Managing supplier performance and contract negotiations.
• Embedding best practice procurement standards.
• Leading and developing the procurement team.
• Supporting major operational and commercial initiatives.

You will bring:

• Significant procurement leadership experience
• Strong commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience driving efficiencies, cost improvements and strategic change.
• ERP knowledge (SAP S4 Hana preferred).
• A collaborative, engaging leadership style.
