Job Title: UK Procurement Manager (Fixed term contract 6-9 months)

Salary: Up to £70,000

Location: Elland, West Yorkshire (Travel required)

Our client is currently looking for an experience Procurement Manager to join the business to oversee the group of companies on a fixed term contract for 9 months. Ideal candidate will come from the FMCG sector and have the ability to support the growth of the region in continuously improving the performance of its procurement.

Overview

This role isn’t just about getting the right raw materials and packaging for the right price by working closely with the Customer and Supply Chain teams but also working with the NPD, Technical and Sustainability teams to ensure they are sourcing even more sustainably.

Duties

Development, implementation & maintenance of optimal sourcing strategies for key spend areas

Tender management, negotiation and implementation of supplier agreements

Development & implementation of appropriate supplier management activities for all key suppliers across the portfolio

Work closely with the Team across all UK and Group as a key contributor to the decision-making framework for new products

Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders as appropriate open to you

Proven Procurement experience within FMCG manufacturing

Support the growth of the region in continuously improving the performance of its procurement

Define and implement efficient procurement strategy for raw materials, packaging and nonproduction

Work with all stakeholders (R&D, supply chain, quality, operations) in a concerted procurement approach

Develop tools and procurement processes that fit in a rapidly growing organisation to transform the procurement function into a true business partner of internal stakeholders

Participate in the region management team and be responsible for the procurement region budget

Implement group contract in your perimeter, provide data to the category managers

Be responsible for local buying

Be actively involved in group projects

Experience

Demonstrable procurement experience in food industry

Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing operations

Basics financial metrics practice

Expertise on agri market, agri raw material global sourcing

Entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on, action oriented and flexible approach

Strong analytical skills

Excellent communication skills

Organisational Skills

Ability to work under tight schedule

Change management

Ability to manage transversal project with multi-site implications

Ability to represent the group image towards suppliers
