Sustainable Procurement Manager
Kingston UniversityThe focus of the role will be to embed sustainable procurement practices and ensure that suppliers implement Net Zero Carbon Tools and provide accurate carbon emissions data to help the University maximise and measure its positive impact throughout its buying and contracting activities. The role holder will influence and build strong working relationships with members of relevant task and finish/steering groups that have been set up to plan and implement the necessary carbon reduction strategies and will proactively identify areas where Procurement can add value in terms of sustainable, carbon-reducing solutions in support of the University’s sustainability plan and strategic goals.
The person
A procurement professional with an in-depth understanding of sustainability and sustainable procurement practice which you will apply in a cross-functional business environment. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, be able to influence and build strong working relationships with members of relevant task and finish/steering groups that have been set up to plan and implement the necessary strategies.

This is a permanent, part-time position working 22.2 hours per week with a starting salary of £30,096 per annum (60% pro rata to £50,160 per annum).
