As a Procurement Administrator, you will report to our Category Lead for Seeds and Plants and support the Buying and Technical teams in the administration and coordination of seasonal live plants, horticultural products and supplier activities.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate data, coordinating orders and deliveries, and ensure product and supplier information is managed effectively, while working closely with Technical, Marketing, Quality and Customer Service teams.

Core Responsibilities

  • Raising and maintaining purchase orders for seasonal live plants and horticultural products
  • Monitoring order progress and coordinating with suppliers on delivery schedules
  • Maintaining accurate supplier, product and pricing data within internal systems
  • Supporting Buyers with cost tracking, reporting and data analysis
  • Monitoring inbound deliveries to ensure alignment with despatch timelines
  • Tracking supply issues and escalating risks where required
  • Producing reports on open orders, deliveries and supply status
  • Collating and maintaining product information for website, catalogue and marketing materials
  • Ensuring accuracy of product descriptions, imagery and technical documentation
  • Supporting cross-functional teams with product-related queries and information
  • Assisting with new product set-up and launch activities
  • Supporting ERP/MRP system accuracy and ongoing data management

We are looking for someone who is has strong administration experience ideally having worked within a supply chin or procurement environment. You will also demonstrate:

  • Excellent attention to detail and a structured systematic approach
  • Strong IT and data management skills, including Excel
  • A highly organised , can-do way of working with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing demands
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work to tight timescales in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
  • An interest in gardening or horticulture is desirable.
