Head of Customer Supply Chain

The Company

Our client is a well-established FMCG business with a portfolio of recognised brands and strong relationships across major UK retail customers. As part of its ongoing growth and supply chain development plans, the business is seeking a Head of Customer Supply Chain on a foxed term contract basis until July 2027 to lead customer-facing supply chain operations and drive service excellence

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Director Supply Chain, you will lead the customer supply chain and customer service function, acting as the key interface between customers, commercial teams and the wider supply chain. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead customer service operations and order-to-cash activities.
• Drive improvements in customer service performance, OTIF delivery and service levels.
• Manage customer master data, pricing processes and compliance controls.
• Develop strong relationships with major retail customers and their supply chain teams.
• Lead and develop a customer-facing supply chain team.
• Support strategic supply chain projects including system, network and new product initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with commercial, logistics, supply, finance and purchasing teams.

The Person

The successful candidate will bring

• Significant experience in a customer supply chain, customer service or customer operations leadership role within FMCG.
• Proven experience working with major UK retailers and customer supply chain teams.
• Strong people leadership and team development capability.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP alongside strong analytical skills.
• The ability to influence senior stakeholders across commercial, supply chain and customer organisations.
• A holistic understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations and customer service performance metrics
