We are partnering exclusively with the Client to recruit a Procurement Manager to support them at this pivotal time.The OpportunityThe successful Procurement Manager will lead and evolve the procurement function, combining strategic sourcing with project procurement to support new product development and R&D initiatives. You’ll manage supplier relationships across the UK and globally, drive cost-down strategies, and ensure ESG compliance.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to secure best pricing and quality.
- Drive procurement for R&D and NPD projects from concept to commercialisation, lead and manage the team.
- Build strong supplier partnerships to support innovation and cost reduction.
- Oversee ESG compliance and risk management frameworks.
- Lead continuous improvement/digitalisation in procurement processes/inventory management.
About YouThe ideal Procurement Manager will have/be:
- Proven track record in strategic procurement within manufacturing or technical/engineering environments.
- Strong supplier relationship management and contract negotiation with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Experienced in project procurement and collaboration with R&D teams.
- Resilient, proactive and commercially astute, having successfully implemented procurement process improvements/best practice.
- Strong leader and mentor.
