Are you an experienced procurement and commercial professional with a passion for delivering value for money and driving strategic change? We are seeking a Commercial and Procurement Lead to join our Procurement Team at Nottinghamshire Police.

๐Ÿš€ What you'll do

In this key senior role, you will

  • Lead and deliver complex procurements including above-threshold processes, frameworks and quotations.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance and training on public procurement regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, policies and best practice across all procurement activity.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with internal stakeholders to maximise long-term benefits.
  • Motivate, develop and support staff to achieve commercial excellence.
  • Act as the principal advisor on legal and policy matters related to procurement.
  • Lead and manage projects that support wider organisational objectives.
  • Influence and collaborate across regional and national networks.
  • Champion continuous improvement and act as a catalyst for organisational change.

๐Ÿ’กWhat Weโ€™re Looking For

We'd love to hear from you if you have

  • Solid experience across a broad range of procurement functions, including applying the Public Contract Regulations , Procurement Act 2023 and contract law.
  • The ability to lead, motivate and develop people, driving performance and high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong project management experience (ideally PRINCE2 or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with confidence engaging diverse and challenging stakeholders.
  • A customer-focused approach and the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • MCIPS qualification or equivalent experience - or you may be working towards it depending on level (M1 or M2).
