Job Opportunity: Supply Chain Accountant

Location: Uxbridge

Department: Supply Chain Finance

Reporting to: Supply Chain Finance Lead

Working Pattern: 5 days onsite

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for the accounting and control of Freight & Logistics costs across Pilgrim’s Europe. You will provide financial reporting and commercial support to the Freight & Logistics team, helping to drive cost efficiency and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities / Measures of Success

• Preparation of weekly and monthly freight accounts
• Group reporting on distribution and warehousing, including variance analysis and commentary
• Provide insightful analysis to identify cost efficiency opportunities, including gap-up opportunities
• Support reporting of gap closure activities within the Logistics team
• Product costings for transport, warehousing, and logistics-related costs
• Ensure accurate and policy-aligned updates to standard costs
• Own stock reconciliations for third-party warehouses
• Prepare and/or review relevant balance sheet accounts
• Support standardisation initiatives as Pilgrim’s Europe ways of working evolve
• Attend and support meetings with Logistics management
• Proactively contribute to improvements in logistics accounting and control processes
• Ensure compliance with SOX and internal control standards
• Support internal and external audit processes
• Carry out ad hoc projects and other reasonable duties as required
