Interim Procurement Manager, Finished Goods - Dorset (Hybrid)
- Salary: c.£400-450pd OR c.£50,000-£60,000 pro rated
- Duration: 3 months, with potential for extension
- Location: Dorset (c.3 days per week on site)
A business going through an exciting period of commercial transformation seek a strong Procurement Manager on an interim basis to lead on supplier management (SRM), improve resilience of supply and drive internal collaboration with NPD and Packaging functions.
The ideal candidate will come from a product-led industry and have experience managing the movement of goods from suppliers through to market. The business is innovative and known for hight levels of both quality and customer service, so key deliverables will be more quality/accuracy focused than simply driving cost downward.
In this role, you will be
- Responsible for leading sourcing efforts for both finished goods and raw materials
- Working closely with product development, retail and packaging teams to ensure product availability to meet demand
- Assessing capacity and supply risks, shaping inventory strategy and ensuring optimal stock levels across categories
Key skills and experience required
- Proven experience in Procurement or Purchasing, ideally within FMCG or product manufacturing.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to translate customer/channel needs into sourcing plans.
- Strong analytical skills, leveraging data to drive decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
