Role: Procurement Lead – Global Aerospace/ Aviation

Location; Essex (Hybrid)

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + package

Pod Talent are excited to partner with a leading global aerospace business to recruit a Procurement Lead to lead and further develop a newly created tactical procurement team. As a result of a companywide expansion and the implementation of a new procurement model, the Procurement Lead will be leading the execution of procurement projects whilst driving procurement excellence and cost savings across the group.

This is a newly created role, formed to be the interface between the business and its supply base and to manage the performance of the new team. The role will strive to ensure that service levels regarding customer product fulfilment meet business plans, and improve the efficacy of day-to-day decisions made by the global procurement team.

Procurement Lead key responsibilities

• Leading and overseeing the development of the tactical procurement team.
• Nurturing supplier relationships that can be leveraged by the business when required.
• Mature the global procurement processes so that it reflects the needs of a global organisation.
• Address opportunities to improve margin contributions and product availability.

You will have

• Strong experience within a complex procurement environment, preferably within aviation/ aerospace and ideally within the fastener supply chain.
• Desirable to understand AS9120 but not essential
• Evident experience of leading teams and designing and implementing successful global process change, affecting multiple stakeholders.
