Procurement Lead – Networks & Operations

Berkshire + Hybrid - 2 days/week in the office

We are looking for mobile telecoms procurement managers with experience with RAN equipment vendors, civils contractors and site providers.

We’re looking for an experienced Procurement Lead to join a leading UK telecommunications organisation on a 3-month contract, supporting a range of strategic and high-value procurement activity across Networks and Operations.

This is a commercially focused role, working closely with senior stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies, challenge supplier costs and negotiate strong commercial outcomes.

Key areas will include

• Procurement of professional services, including activities such as drive testing
• Supporting commercial negotiations across civils and network-related services
• Managing complex procurement and contractual negotiations
• Supporting neutral host activities and associated commercial arrangements
• Developing sourcing strategies, assessing market dynamics and identifying opportunities to optimise cost, risk and value
• Working closely with senior business, finance, technology and legal stakeholders
• Supporting strategic supplier management and ensuring robust commercial outcomes

About you

We’re looking for an experienced procurement professional with mobile telecoms experience across RAN equipment vendors, civils contractors and site providers with the commercial confidence to challenge suppliers and influence senior stakeholders.

You should have

• Significant end-to-end strategic procurement experience
• Strong commercial and contract negotiation skills
• Experience managing high-value procurement activity
• Excellent senior stakeholder management and influencing skills
• The ability to challenge costs, develop commercial strategies and deliver tangible value
• Exposure to neutral host environments would be advantageous
