In this role, you’ll work closely with Estates and Facilities teams across all three trusts to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions that support safe patient environments and excellent operational performance. Main duties of the job
- Lead the end‑to‑end procurement and tendering process for Estates & Facilities goods, services, and works, developing sourcing strategies, producing specifications, running compliant tender exercises, and negotiating contracts that deliver strong commercial outcomes.
- Ensure all procurement activity complies with Public Procurement Law, NHS policies, and sustainability and social value requirements, maintaining clear documentation and producing high‑quality recommendation reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Estates & Facilities teams, as well as clinical and non‑clinical stakeholders, ensuring procurement solutions meet operational needs and contribute to an improved patient environment.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert, providing specialist advice on procurement regulations, procedures, and best practice, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the process.
- Manage and support a small team, contributing to recruitment, appraisals, staff development and day‑to‑day leadership, while promoting collaborative and inclusive working.
- Monitor supplier and contract performance, supporting stakeholders with issue resolution and ensuring compliance, quality, and continuous improvement across the Estates & Facilities portfolio.
- Maintain accurate procurement data, catalogues, and contract records to ensure information is up‑to‑date and compliant with organisational requirements.
- Keep professional knowledge current, staying informed about developments in procurement, public sector policy and Estates & Facilities markets, and sharing insights with colleagues where beneficial.
- Work collaboratively with internal colleagues and external suppliers to support patient‑centred services, contribute to service improvement, and uphold strong professional standards.
