Procurement Officer

Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in Glasgow.

Salary: £45,452 - £54,311 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The role

As a Procurement Officer, you will be part of the Procurement Operations Team who are responsible for the delivery of tactical sourcing and contract administration. You will be in the unique position of facing off to procurement colleagues in the wider team, internal business customers and external suppliers.

You will

• Undertake procurement of goods, works, and services to support all Business Units, from initial demand through to contract award aiming for reduced contract costs.
• Conduct sourcing events using the Jaggaer Sourcing to Contract System aligned with Category Sourcing Strategies and procurement policies.
• Contribute to the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of contracts.
• Ensure stakeholder engagement with a strong understanding of procurement systems and supply chain processes.
• Maintain accurate sourcing and contract records, ensuring procurement activity is fully documented and audit ready.

You will have

• Experience in delivering commercial value through a range of sourcing activities and supplier negotiations.
• The ability to manage tender processes smoothly and efficiently.
• The capability of clear communication and problem-solving, with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
• A Professional accreditation i.e. CIPS (preferred), or working towards a accreditation.
