Head of Procurement

Talentmark are currently recruiting for a Head of Procurement to join a global diagnostics organisation, based in Burgess Hill on a permanent basis.

In this position, the successful candidate will lead a dedicated team in overseeing both direct and indirect procurement, ensuring our clients solutions deliver world-class healthcare to patients and customers.

The role offers hybrid working and will be located, minimum 2/3 days per week, onsite in Burgess Hill.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop the procurement team, fostering a collaborative, agile, and customer-centric environment
• Develop and execute robust strategies for direct and indirect spend, ensuring alignment with global standards and local UK/Ireland requirements
• Lead scouting, negotiation, and onboarding processes for strategic partners, ensuring solutions meet business requirements
• Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure supplier accountability, quality, and delivery precision

Candidate Background

• University Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a Scientific field; a Master’s or Postgraduate degree in Management or Supply Chain is preferred
• Proven experience in a similar procurement leadership role within a multinational environment, with a track record in people management and team development.
• Experience navigating NHS contracting and public sector procurement regulations
• Highly proficient in digital procurement tools (such as SAP and Microsoft Office)
