Digital & Automation Intern (Supply Chain Planning)

Join Thermo Fisher as a Digital & Automation Intern to lead automation projects and support digital transformation in European Supply Chain.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing

• Design and test automation solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, Python, or low-code platforms.
• Develop bots to eliminate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Digital Ambassadors to identify and demonstrate new automation opportunities.
• Build Power BI or Tableau dashboards for operational teams and analyze live supply chain data.
• Standardize reporting templates and document data flows across sites.
• Participate in Lean/PPI workshops, map processes, identify bottlenecks, and contribute to business cases for digital improvements.
• Support delivery of the European Digital Development roadmap, track milestones, and align with leadership priorities.
• Assist in Digital Bootcamps, Tech Talks, and Expos, and create communication materials showcasing success stories and innovations.

About You

The company is looking for

• A student in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Supply Chain, or Digital Business.
• Enthusiasm for automation, problem-solving, and digital change.
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to work in an international environment.

Training & Development

• Gain experience in automation development using Power Automate, Python, and low-code tools.
• Learn PPI methodology and structured problem-solving.
• Understand strategic digital transformation execution at scale.
