SENIOR ENGINEERING PROCUREMENT MANAGER – CABLING & SUBCONTRACTS

RAPIDLY GROWING GLOBAL INFRASTRUCTURE FIRM

NORTH LONDON

£60,000 - £65,000 + CAR ALLOWANCE + BONUS + STRONG WIDER PACKAGE

A rapidly growing engineering and infrastructure specialist is looking to appoint a Senior Engineering Procurement Manager to lead procurement across cabling and subcontract packages on some of the most high-profile digital infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe.

Backed by private equity and having achieved 10x growth over the last seven years, this organisation is firmly in scale-up mode, with clear plans to double turnover again in the coming years. This is a senior procurement role with genuine influence, visibility and long-term career upside.

The successful individual will sit at the heart of major infrastructure programmes, owning procurement strategy, commercial delivery and supplier relationships across complex cabling and subcontract scopes. The projects span mission-critical infrastructure for global, household-name technology and connectivity clients, operating at an exceptional scale and pace.

This is a role for someone who wants to build, shape and lead procurement, not simply run BAU activity. The environment is fast-moving, entrepreneurial and rewards commercial thinking, ownership and delivery.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Leading end-to-end procurement across cabling and subcontract packages
  • Developing procurement strategies aligned to major engineering programmes
  • Managing supplier selection, negotiation and contract award
  • Driving commercial value, risk mitigation and supply chain performance
  • Partnering closely with engineering, project delivery and commercial teams

Required background

  • Senior procurement experience within engineering, construction or infrastructure
  • Strong exposure to cabling, utilities, M&E or subcontract procurement
  • Proven end-to-end procurement and commercial negotiation capability
  • Experience managing high-value, complex subcontract packages
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-growth, evolving organisation
  • Strong stakeholder management across technical and delivery teams

Why this opportunity stands out

  • Senior procurement role in a business that has grown 10x in seven years
  • Private equity backing with ambitious, clearly funded growth plans
  • Exposure to flagship infrastructure projects for globally recognised clients
  • Genuine influence over procurement strategy, structure and outcomes
  • Clear progression as the organisation continues to scale

This opportunity will suit a commercially minded procurement professional who thrives in growth environments and wants to be part of a business building something exceptional at scale!
