
Senior Procurement Manager – Major Infrastructure Projects
Derby (Hybrid – 3 days per week)To apply, contact Adam at JobsAV@bramwithconsulting.co.ukAn exciting opportunity has been created for a Procurement Manager to join a rapidly growing power and utilities delivery organisation operating across major Transmission & Distribution and substation programmes .With the business set to triple in scale over the next few years , procurement plays a critical role in enabling growth, strengthening supply chains, and supporting the ambition to become a contractor and employer of choice . This role sits at the heart of that transformation.Role Summary Reporting into senior procurement leadership, you will take ownership of procurement delivery across a major substation-focused workstream , supporting both live projects and future frameworks.You will be responsible for implementing procurement strategies and work package plans, managing key supplier relationships, and ensuring the cost-effective, compliant, and resilient sourcing of materials, services, and subcontracted works. The role requires close collaboration with commercial, project, construction, and central procurement teams .Alongside delivery, you will play a key role in shaping ways of working , embedding best practice, and supporting the wider evolution of the Power T&D procurement function.Key Responsibilities Implement procurement strategies aligned to business growth, efficiency, and risk management objectivesLead and support tendering activities across power and substation projectsManage supplier relationships, performance, and commercial complianceWork closely with commercial and legal teams to support contract negotiationsApply working knowledge of NEC subcontract and commercial processesAct as the primary procurement interface for project stakeholdersSupport project delivery schedules and manage supply chain risksEnsure compliance with health, safety, sustainability, and governance standardsContribute to procurement risk assessments and mitigation planningLead, mentor, and develop procurement team membersSupport senior procurement leadership with wider functional strategy and change initiativesRequired Experience Proven procurement professional with end-to-end procurement experienceBackground in power, utilities, infrastructure, or construction environmentsExperience working with both materials suppliers and subcontractorsStrong supplier relationship and supply chain management capabilityConfident stakeholder manager with a collaborative, credible approachComfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving project environmentsWorking knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contractsStrong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skillsMCIPS (or working towards), relevant degree, or equivalent experience preferredWilling to travel across the UK to support suppliers and project teamsLocation & Flexibility Derby-based role (3 days per week on site)Regular UK travel for supplier engagement and project meetingsFuture opportunity to operate from a new Leeds hubWhy Join Join a rapidly scaling £900m+ power infrastructure business unitLong-term visibility across major substation and T&D programmesOpportunity to influence procurement strategy during a period of transformationStrong leadership support and clear development pathwaysA role offering genuine impact, autonomy, and career progressionTo apply or find out more, please contact the agency recruiter directly.All applications will be handled in the strictest confidence.
