To support the day-to-day operation of the UK Supply Chain department, assisting with customs clearance, transport, warehousing and associated financial administration. The role will work with customers, suppliers and internal departments to ensure shipments are managed efficiently from instruction through to completion.

3. Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Coordinate and monitor customs clearance activities and shipment movements.
  • Review shipping and customs documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
  • Liaise with customers, customs brokers, warehouses, hauliers, shipping lines, and internal COSCO departments to support smooth operational delivery.
  • Assist with the coordination of transport, devanning, warehousing, and final mile delivery requirements.
  • Maintain customer control sheets, shipment records and operational databases.
  • Provide timely operational updates to customers, vendors and internal departments.
  • Process customer and supplier transactions, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and supplier invoice reconciliation.
  • Investigate and resolve routine operational, documentation and invoicing queries.
  • Monitor shared mailboxes and respond professionally to customers and supplier enquiries.
  • Assist with the preparation of operational and financial reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining the efficient departmental processes.
  • Provide cover and general support across the Supply Chain department as required.

4. Requirements

  • Experience within shipping, logistics, freight forwarding or customs would be advantageous
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Strong MS office skills, Excel is a must.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, flexibility in approach to workload, able to prioritise with proactive approach.
  • An effective communicator, resilient, able to work in a team and on your own(self-management).

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
