Senior Procurement Officer

The Role

This is an opportunity to join a small, dynamic central Procurement team, supporting the organisation and its subsidiaries to procure a wide range of goods and services.

Day to day duties for the Senior Procurement Officer include:

• Leading above and below-threshold procurements in line with policy and the New Procurement Act
• Shaping and deliver sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, risk and value for money
• Supporting colleagues to plan their procurements effectively and get the best from the market
• Helping ensure contracts are robust, compliant and contribute to the organisation’s wider ambitions

About You

The successful Senior Procurement Officer will be/ have:

• Ideally you have experience working in a public sector procurement team and are either CIPS-qualified or bring equivalent expertise gained through experience.
• You’re confident engaging stakeholders, explaining procurement in plain English and acting as a trusted partner to the business.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach
• Strong attention to detail
