
Supply Chain Manager Vacancy - URGENT

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Leader from a technical, fabrication, or manufacturing background. This pivotal role involves overseeing end-to-end supply chain operations, managing international logistics between our French factory and UK base, and leading a remote team of six professionals. The ideal candidate will excel at forecasting demand against strict deployment schedules and proactively securing materials to prevent assembly bottlenecks.
Day-to-day of the role
- Demand Planning & Materials Forecasting:
- Own the end-to-end demand planning model, translating complex client QSR roll-out and installation schedules into clear material requirements.
- Develop, monitor, and continuously refine rolling forecasting models for long-lead electronic components and hardware.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Sales teams to anticipate changes in deployment velocity and adjust production pipelines proactively.
- Lead Master Production Scheduling (MPS) reviews to ensure factory capacity aligns with upcoming UK project spikes.
- Mitigate supply risk by assessing lead times, seasonal disruptions, and market trends to establish safety stock buffers for critical components.
- Inventory Control & Auditing:
- Take full accountability for UK and international stock levels to optimize working capital.
- Lead and coordinate comprehensive quarterly stock counts across all storage facilities.
- Reconcile physical inventory with Sage ERP data to ensure high data accuracy.
- Logistics & International Trade:
- Manage complex import and export operations between the UK and continental Europe.
- Optimize warehousing, inventory positioning, and final-mile delivery to deployment sites.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 6 supply chain and logistics professionals.
- Maintain high engagement and accountability across a fully remote workforce.
- Set clear performance KPIs tied to delivery accuracy and inventory turnover.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Forecasting Expertise: Significant, demonstrable experience in demand planning, materials forecasting, and master scheduling within a project-led or deployment-driven business.
- Industry Background: Minimum 5 years recent experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within electronics assembly, or technical hardware production.
- Systems: Advanced user of ERP software for material planning (MRP/MPS) and stock control, alongside expert-level Excel data manipulation.
- Logistics & Trade: Proven track record handling UK-EU cross-border freight, customs clearances, and international trade compliance.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and coordinate remote or hybrid teams.
- Location: Must be able to commute to our Hemel Hempstead office as required. Travel to the Altringham facility may be occasionally required.
