We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to take ownership of all purchasing activities for a busy manufacturing business. This is a key role, responsible for ensuring the timely, cost-effective and high-quality supply of components, materials and services while supporting operational efficiency and business growth.
The Role
As Procurement Manager, you will
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
- Manage supplier selection, negotiation, and performance evaluation
- Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or delivery
- Conduct project feasibility analysis and specify capital equipment for future growth
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for savings and process improvements
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare reports for senior management
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and industry standards
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to forecast demand and manage inventory
Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years’ procurement or supply chain experience, ideally in manufacturing or electronics
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills
- Experience using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Desirable: Degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management or related field, professional certification such as CIPS
