The Opportunity
This is a strategic Procurement Business Partner role within Indirect Procurement, giving you the opportunity to influence procurement strategies across Europe while also managing key indirect categories. You will lead sourcing and supplier management across categories such as HR, Professional Services, Fleet, Travel, or other areas — experience across all categories is not essential.
In this role, you are more than a procurement manager — you are a trusted business partner, embedding commercial thinking into the organisation, driving efficiency, and delivering value beyond cost. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across HR, Finance, Legal, IT, Marketing, and Operations to ensure procurement strategies support business priorities and transformation objectives.
Alongside your business partner responsibilities, you will also develop and implement category strategies, lead strategic sourcing initiatives, and manage supplier relationships, ensuring best-practice category management is applied across your portfolio.
You will operate within a complex, multi-country environment, strengthening supplier governance, introducing innovative sourcing models, and delivering measurable commercial impact. Occasional travel across Europe and the USA will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders, shaping procurement strategies that drive value, innovation, and efficiency
- Translate business needs into actionable procurement strategies and category plans
- Lead strategic sourcing projects, tenders, and complex supplier negotiations
- Develop and implement category strategies and embed best-practice category management
- Embed new supplier models, contracts, and governance frameworks in line with organisational priorities
- Manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure performance, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Consolidate and leverage spend across regions to maximise value and strategic impact
- Deliver measurable cost optimisation, service enhancements, and supplier-led innovation
- Provide senior leadership with actionable insights, market intelligence, and commercial recommendations
Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified; CIPS qualification desirable
- Proven experience in indirect procurement or category management (experience across all categories is not required)
- Demonstrated experience as a business partner, influencing senior stakeholders and driving commercial impact
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Experience operating in complex, multi-country organisations
- Ability to lead change and embed new, value-driven sourcing and category strategies
