Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.
As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.
As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Procurement Manager to be responsible for early-stage sourcing, market analysis, and supply chain activities, with a focus on supporting engineering and R&D through supplier relationship management.
Key responsibilities will include
- Lead and deliver sourcing strategies aligned to business development, operational and product development needs
- Analyse and produce industrialisation roadmaps for your area of responsibility.
- Supply chain lead for make/buy analysis including detailed cost and non-cost appraisal of options
- Analysing supply chain cost drivers for procurement activity and proactively using this analysis to develop the Evolito commercial position for negotiations.
- Gather, share and assess market intelligence relevant to your commodity or project
- Own business case development for complex procurements in your area of responsibility
- Manage the procurement lifecycle for your procurement activity
- Ensure contractual commitments are appropriate to the risk and requirements.
- Lead contract negotiations for strategic and complex sourcing activity.
- Maximise opportunities for return on investment through commercial agreements while meeting the production schedule and objectives
- Establish and manage key supplier relationships and develop contract management plans for key suppliers
- Monitor supply chain operational risk and integrate supplier management process within the business
- Develop and implement KPI’s for relevant contracts. Own improvement plans where required to achieve high levels of execution
- Contribute to the supplier and supply chain risk register and manage risk mitigation plans.
Skills and experience required
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, both internal and external
- Demonstrable experience in leading and delivering supply agreements and/or complex negotiations.
- Ability to assess cost, quality and lead time risks/benefits and make appropriate procurement decisions for the goods and/or services requested.
- Works collaboratively across functions to deliver project and business objectives
- Ability to influence, challenge and understand business need including statements of work and develop a commercial position that meets the business need.
- Qualified to CIPS Level 5 or equivalent. MCIPs preferable.
- Ability to understand and analyse supply chain costs drivers and actively use this analysis in negotiations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Knowledge and experience of AS9100 or ISO9001
