ABOUT THIS ROLE

Our fabulous UK&I Finance & Supply Chain Director is having a baby (we’re all very excited!) so we’re on the lookout for a talented and effective Interim Finance & Supply Chain Director to continue to support the UK & I business on its current growth trajectory.

Reporting to the EMEA Finance Director but working in close partnership with the Manager Director UK&I you will be a key member of the UK&I leadership team; supporting strategic and tactical commercial decisions, ensuring we provide clear and accurate reporting on financials, and owning the operational delivery of getting goods to customers on time. You will lead, coach and develop a small team (3x FP&A and 2 x Supply Chain).

Our UK & Ireland business is where it all began, and the territory continues to be the foundation for our continued success globally. With sales in UK & Ireland more than £100m and ambitious plans to continue to deliver significant growth we’re looking for an individual that is used to working at a fast pace, is not shy of getting stuck in, and preferably has experience of working in a luxury consumer brand.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business & Team Leadership

Finance: Strategy & Commercial

  • Complete P&L and Cash Flow responsibility for the UK & Ireland Business.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information, including reporting of performance, to the UK & Ireland. Leadership Team to support in critical decision making.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis to develop insights, identify trends and actionable opportunities.
  • Drive the delivery of detailed forecasts and plans for the UK & Ireland Business.
  • Ensure Marketing spend is controlled and aligned with strategic and operational priorities.
  • Monitor and track the financial progress of operational activities / building blocks. Work closely with the UK & Ireland Leadership Team to develop and implement corrective action where needed to deliver on budgeted commitments.
  • Own the development and Implementation of long range (3-5 year) strategic plans for the UK & Ireland Business.
  • Ensure regular review of the UK & Ireland Cost centres to ensure spend is in line with the Budget / Forecast.
  • Owner of the Order to Cash process for the UK & Ireland Business.
  • Ensure robust controls are in place in relation to Customer trade terms, pricing, discounts, and commissions.
  • Participate in UK & Ireland Business Leadership team meetings to ensure financial impact of decisions are highlighted and understood.
  • Ensure team delivery of all operational finance activities for the UK & Ireland Business including complete and accurate month end activities.
  • Provide Group Finance with weekly revenue reporting for the ‘Scorecard’ (actuals and forecast for the month)
  • Ensure robust financial involvement in monthly S&OP Demand Review calls to review and confirm operational volume demand forecast
  • Drive an improvement in financial awareness including SOX through collaboratively working with key stakeholders
  • Lead the UK Finance and Data Team to reach objectives set and drive business analysis and performance

Supply Chain & Operations

  • End to End responsibility for Demand Planning & Operational Delivery & Execution
  • Lead and develop the UK&I Supply Chain team, including Demand Planning, Operations, and Logistics functions.
  • Drive accurate demand forecasting and inventory planning to optimize product availability and working capital.
  • Oversee logistics operations including warehousing, transportation, and distribution, ensuring cost efficiency and service excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Commercial teams to align supply chain plans with market demand and promotional activity.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to track performance across demand planning, logistics, and operational execution.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain agility, resilience, and sustainability.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and supply chain partners to ensure high service levels and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies across all supply chain activities.

KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • University degree and / or professional accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with supporting professional experience
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience gained in management accounting in addition to good grounding in financial accounting
  • Previous experience gained in an FMCG/ international environment is essential
  • Proven track record of effectively supporting and influencing stakeholders and providing a full business partnering service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multi stakeholders to gather data disseminate insights and manage requests
  • Experience in mentoring, developing, empowering, and leading exceptional, high performing teams and individuals (with at least 5 team members)
  • Resilience and Agile to the dynamic nature of the ever-changing market and business needs
  • Instinctive commercial flair to drive decisions that improve KPIs and performance
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability, can give examples of taking measured risks to achieve results
