You will be the senior, board-level leader for procurement and supply chain - setting the vision, defining the operating model and driving pace, performance and resilience across the organisations, its Trust partners and the wider ICS.
This is a chance to build a best-in-class, tech-enabled procurement service that delivers:
- Significant, sustainable savings
- 100% supply continuity (no cancellations, ever)
- Speed, responsiveness and commercial rigour at scale
What You’ll Lead
- Strategy & System Leadership
- Commercial & Operational Impact
- Technology, Automation & Transformation
- A diverse, established and high performing team
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a credible, forward-thinking procurement leader with the confidence and capability to operate at board level and influence across complex systems.
- Proven senior leader with a strong track record of building, motivating and developing high-performing procurement and supply chain teams.
- Highly analytical and commercially astute, able to make sound, timely decisions based on data, experience and professional judgement.
- Deep technical procurement expertise, including strategic sourcing, advanced negotiation, contract law, UK Procurement Law and NHS conditions of contract.
- Demonstrated success in governance, performance management and delivery of complex, multi-site and cross-functional programmes.
- Experience working within the NHS or industries supplying to the NHS is strongly preferred
- Experienced in supply chain transformation, including technology and systems implementation (e.g. ScanforSafety, procurement platforms, automation).
- Confident communicator and influencer, effective at operating across all organisational levels and building strong partnerships internally and externally.
- Professionally qualified (CIPS or equivalent) with strong project management, risk management and commercial acumen, and the ability to translate experience from any sector into improved NHS outcomes.
You may come from the NHS, another regulated sector, or a mixed economy — what matters is credibility, leadership and the mindset to move things forward.
