Role Description
This is a full-time role based in Newcastle Upon Tyne for a Procurement & Contract Manager. The responsibilities include managing a range of public sector procurement projects, creating tender documentation, evaluating tender responses, overseeing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with agreed-upon terms and conditions. The role also involves analytical evaluations of contractor performance, coordination of pre-start project meetings, and high-level contract management to facilitate smooth project execution. Additionally, post-project reviews will be conducted to improve processes and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Procurement and Contract Management, with a proven ability to oversee and streamline documentation and contract processes effectively.
- Expertise in Contract Negotiation and Supplier Management, with experience in building and maintaining productive relationships.
- Excellent Analytical Skills, with the ability to evaluate contractor performance and make data-driven decisions for business improvements.
- Keen understanding of legal and compliant public sector built environment frameworks related to procurement and contract management.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, law, or a related field. Accreditation or certification in procurement or contract management (e.g., CIPS) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Salary range £36,000 - £42,000
