Location: Mayfair, London

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30

Contract: Maternity Cover with potential to become permanent

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a proactive and highly organised Procurement Coordinator to join a well-established international business based in Central London.

Initially offered on a maternity cover basis, this role has the potential to become permanent depending on business requirements. Working within a busy procurement team, you will be responsible for coordinating the purchase of parts, spares, chemicals, and other operational supplies for international industrial projects, ensuring products are sourced cost-effectively and delivered within required timescales.

This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building supplier relationships, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the procurement of parts, spares, chemicals, and operational supplies for international projects.

Monitor stock levels and ensure orders are placed in a timely manner, taking supplier lead times and shipping schedules into account.

Work closely with project teams to source products that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and support project delivery.

Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to improve competitiveness and supply options.

Obtain and assess supplier quotations, supporting commercial negotiations where appropriate.

Liaise with technical teams to ensure specifications and operational requirements are clearly understood.

Coordinate with logistics and freight providers to support the timely shipment of goods.

Track orders from placement through to final delivery, proactively managing any delays or issues.

Maintain accurate procurement records and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Support procurement activities across a variety of industrial and engineering projects as required.

Collaborate with colleagues across the wider business to ensure departmental objectives are achieved.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have

Previous experience within a procurement, purchasing, or buying role.

Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience building supplier relationships and supporting commercial negotiations.

A strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.

The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Confidence communicating with stakeholders across different departments and locations.

A collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider team.

Desirable Experience

The following experience would be advantageous, but is not essential:

International procurement or sourcing.

Logistics, freight, or supply chain coordination.

Engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or construction-related environments.

Import/export procurement processes.
