Job Description

Our client are a dynamic and fast-growing distribution business serving clients across a diverse range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a highly organised, proactive and technically competent Operations Coordinator to join their team.

This role is critical to ensuring seamless day-to-day operations across purchasing, logistics, stock management, and customer support, with a strong emphasis on compliance and communication. The successful candidate will thrive in a varied, hands-on role that requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full order processing cycle, including purchase orders, despatch notes, and invoicing.
  • Support accurate supply and demand forecasting and budgeting in collaboration with the sales and procurement teams.
  • Oversee inventory and stock control across multiple warehousing locations and 3PL providers.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments via road, sea, and air, ensuring full compliance.
  • Operate ERP and inventory management systems to maintain accurate data across stock, sales, and purchasing.
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting using Excel and Power BI to support business decisions.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and logistics partners to resolve queries, provide updates, and ensure service excellence.
  • Track customer payments, conduct credit checks, and liaise with accounts where necessary.
  • Arrange and monitor shipments via third-party sampling providers.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate customer and sales records.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support as needed.

Essential Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in purchasing, logistics, or customer service, ideally within a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel, with strong data handling and analysis skills; experience with Power BI is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP, CRM, and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – with strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Technically proficient and confident working with digital systems and business tools.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
