Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement and Purchasing Manager to oversee the sourcing and purchasing of goods, equipment, and services for our organisation. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to negotiate competitive pricing, manage supplier relationships, and implement procurement strategies that deliver measurable cost savings while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and implement strategic procurement policies and procedures.
· Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal commercial terms.
· Lead end-to-end purchasing activities including supplier selection, tendering, and contract management.
· Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to inform decision-making.
· Manage procurement budgets and deliver year-on-year cost efficiencies.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and optimise inventory management.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant legislation.
Required Skills and Competencies
· Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
· Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
· High level of commercial awareness and attention to detail.
· Advanced proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Sound knowledge of HSE compliance, risk management, and international trade regulations.
· Leadership qualities with experience managing or mentoring a team.
Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree desirable).
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management roles.
