Procurement Coordinator

Aureos are seeking two Procurement Coordinators. One for our office in Crewe and one in Nottingham.
As a Procurement Coordinator you will have very good administration, communication and interpersonal skills. This role involves sourcing and procuring of electrical components and construction materials for various projects for a business that is strongly involved in the UK DNO (Distribution Network Operator) sector.
The ideal candidate will experience of some or all of the following;
- have an understanding of goods related to the Energy business
- knowledge of the construction market
- overseen approvals for new suppliers
Primary tasks and duties
Timely Inputting of Orders onto Aureos ERP System (COINS)
- Either from requisitions generated on the COINS system or through quotations
Placing Orders on Suppliers
- Ensure that orders are sent to suppliers
- Ensure confirmation of receipt and delivery dates
Sourcing
- Source and procure goods related to Energy market including electrical components
Collaboration with Project Teams
- Work closely with project teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Provide efficient and timely procurement of materials in line with the overall business strategy.
Cost Negotiation and Budget Management
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
Compliance and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
- Ensure that the procurement process operates in line with Group Procurement Processes and Procedures
- Work closely with Finance Department and resolve any invoice related issues to allow smooth P2P process.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Knowledge
Essential
- Previous experience in a similar administration roll
- Familiar with IT Systems
Desirable
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools
- Proven experience as a procurement coordinator
- Knowledge of the Energy industry
- Experience in procuring materials related to civils and/or the Energy industry
Skills and abilities
Essential
- An eagerness to learn new IT and technical skills
- Very good administration, communication, and interpersonal skills
- A strong desire to develop in a technical industry that is rapidly growing and fast paced
Desirable
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and analytical skill
