Supply Chain Analyst
Bart Ingredients Co LtdShare this job:
The Bart Ingredients company has been sourcing and supplying herbs & spices for over 60 years. What began as a husband-and-wife team selling spice racks locally has grown to an organisation with over 200 employees distributing products across the UK. Today the business is privately owned by the Fuchs Gruppe family - the world’s largest privately owned herbs & spices business.
Our purpose is simple - ‘To bring the joy of food to life’ and to do it in the most sustainable way. The success of the business is routed in our people who make the business what it is with shared passion for achieving the best and cultivating the family culture we are proud to retain.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Analyst to work in our facility at Severn Beach. As a Supply Chain Analyst, you’ll become the go-to person for ensuring the right packaging materials land at the right time — keeping our production lines running and our shelves full. You’ll blend data, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration to help shape how our supply chain works today and evolves for the future.
This is a fantastic role for someone analytical, curious, and ambitious, who wants to build deep expertise in planning, materials management, and FMCG operations.
The main responsibilities of this role are
- Own the end-to-end call-off process.
- Use supplier forecasts, BC data, and planning signals to make sure materials arrive when needed.
- Track confirmations, lead times, and delivery performance — spotting risks early and solving them fast.
- Keep all key data in Business Central accurate.
- Partner with planners to match supply and demand.
- Ensure production has clear visibility of what’s available, what’s tight, and what’s changing.
- Support NPD launches and product changes: new items, specs, BOM updates, delists.
- Monitor MRP messages and inventory levels.
- Play an active role in shaping how we use Business Central and other digital tools — improving processes, reporting, and data flows.
- Build strong relationships with our packaging suppliers.
- Contribute to supplier performance reviews and service analytics.
- Identify smarter ways of managing stock, accuracy, data, and call-offs.
- Support initiatives around sustainability, waste reduction, and packaging optimisation.
Person specification/Qualifications/Capabilities
- Experience using an ERP (Business Central, SAP, Navision, or similar) is a bonus — curiosity and willingness to learn are essential.
- Confident with data: Excel, reporting tools, and making sense of complex information.
- Strong communicator — able to work easily with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Understanding of stock, working capital, or materials planning processes is helpful (but training provided).
- Ideally some FMCG, food production, manufacturing or fast-paced operations experience.
