Strategic Procurement Specialist

Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by leading the end-to-end tender process for new and existing clients.

You'll collaborate cross-functionally to develop compelling, commercially sound proposals that align with client needs and our operational capabilities.

• Lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of high-quality tenders and RFQs.
• Analyse tender documents and client requirements to develop winning strategies.
• Work closely with operations, finance, legal, and sales teams to gather input and ensure alignment.
• Produce written content to convey the value proposition.
• Manage timelines and ensure all submissions meet deadlines and compliance standards.
• Conduct post-tender reviews and support contract negotiations where required.
• Maintain a database of tender outcomes and continuously improve the bid process.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Tender Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in tender/bid management within the logistics or supply chain sector.

The successful candidate will possess strong commercial acumen and understanding of contract logistics operations.

They will also demonstrate excellent project management and organisational skills, as well as exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

A proficiency in MS Office and tender management tools is essential.

Additionally, the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines is crucial.

This role can be home-based in the UK, ideally within a 1-hour drive to one of our sites.
