Procurement Expert Needed

We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Expert to join our team on an initial 6 month contract.
Option to go contract to permanent at end of contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all documentation is complete and meets quality standards for procurement and legal teams to fulfill their roles in project delivery.
- Provide advice and guidance on pre-procurement activities, ensuring compliance with Contract Standing Orders and relevant legislative requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement and contract management activity in the Corporate Contract Register and electronic procurement/legal log.
- Contribute to business system development and implementation to support effective decision-making.
- Manage relationships from a procurement perspective and support the Authority's decision-making structure.
Skills
Experience working with recognised procurement concepts, accounting standards and regulations.
Experience working with key ICT systems.
Strong customer-focused approach.
Proven ability to perform consistently to tight timescales.
Qualifications
Part-qualified CIP or equivalent, or qualified by extensive experience.
