Procurement Manager

We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of our purchasing, inventory, and logistics functions. This is a hands-on role where you will ensure materials and products are delivered on time, optimise stock levels, and manage supplier performance to support our production and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic and operational procurement activities
- Source materials at the best cost, quality, and delivery
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts; conduct audits and evaluations
- Oversee the Company’s Stores Department and reduce stock holdings
- Produce monthly stock and supplier reconciliation reports
- Collaborate with Production and Contract Managers on supply forecasts
- Drive continuous improvement across procurement and supply chain processes
- Manage, train, and mentor the Procurement & Stores team
About You
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of purchasing contracts, terms, and conditions
- Proficient with standard IT and procurement software
- Professional purchasing qualification (CIPS) or willingness to undertake
Qualifications
- HNC or equivalent essential; Degree desirable
- Professional purchasing qualification preferred
