Supply Chain Planner Associate
Location: Basingstoke – Hybrid (50% office)
Duration: 12 months
Pay rate: £19.59 and £26.11 per hour PAYE
Occasional travel required (10-20% travel)
This role will play a critical part in ensuring the seamless flow of products from global manufacturing sites to the UK market, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring high service levels for both direct and distributor customers.
Key Responsibilities
Replenishment Planning
- Manage and coordinate the replenishment of pharmaceutical products from pre-wholesaler sites to the UK market Logistic Service Providers.
- Monitor inbound shipments and liaise with global supply chain teams to resolve issues.
Inventory Management
- Maintain appropriate stock levels at several locations of our Logistic Service Providers to meet market demand.
- Ensure effective stock rotation to minimize aging and obsolescence risks.
- Analyze inventory trends and recommend adjustments to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Reconcile daily inventory files to ensure accurate reporting.
Order Fulfillment
- Manage order fulfillment processes for a direct-to-pharmacy model.
- Ensure timely product availability and delivery to key distribution partners.
- Monitor and resolve fulfillment issues to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Service Level Management
- Achieve and maintain targeted service levels and product availability metrics.
- Analyze and report on service level performance, identifying root causes of failures and implementing corrective actions.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Track and report key supply chain KPIs, including inventory levels, service levels, and stock aging.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve supply chain processes and performance, with focus on automation.
Key Requirements
Must have
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain planning within the pharmaceutical, FMCG, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, replenishment planning, and fulfillment processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and ERP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of working and collaborating within a team.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience using SAP and analytical tools such as PowerBI, Power Automate, Tableau, or similar.
- Experience managing 3PL operations and working with distributors.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Understanding of UK GDP regulations.
