Land Buyer

An established and highly respected residential developer in Yorkshire is seeking to appoint a Land Buyer to strengthen its land and development team. The Role

Reporting directly to the Land Director, the Land Buyer will play a key role in identifying, evaluating and securing residential development opportunities across the Yorkshire region. The successful candidate will support the full acquisition process, from initial site identification through to offer, negotiation and purchase.

Key responsibilities include

• Sourcing and appraising potential residential development sites
• Building relationships with landowners, agents and local contacts
• Preparing financial assessments and assisting with viability modelling
• Supporting negotiations and progressing deals through the acquisition process
• Working closely with planning, technical and commercial teams to ensure smooth handover of secured sites
• Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of local planning policy and market trends

The Candidate

This role would suit either an existing Land Buyer looking for a new challenge or an individual stepping up from a related property or construction background. The employer is open-minded and welcomes applicants who have not previously held the Land Buyer title but can demonstrate:

• Experience within the property, construction, housing or land sectors
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
• A proactive approach to networking and site identification
