Job Purpose
To lead and manage procurement activities across all companies within Cavello Group, ensuring best value, compliance, and strategic alignment. The role will focus on delivering cost efficiencies, optimising supplier relationships, and supporting business growth through robust commercial practices.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement group-wide procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage supplier selection, negotiation, and performance across multiple categories.
- Consolidate purchasing power across the group to achieve economies of scale.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and sustainability requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems.
- Collaborate with finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Provide commercial insight and support for strategic projects and investments.
- Lead contract governance and risk management across all entities.

- Liaise with your line manager to ensure you understand your objectives and goals.
- Liaise and communicate with internal colleagues positively and proactively.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Procurement, or related discipline (desirable).
- MCIPS or similar professional procurement qualification (desirable).
Experience
- Proven experience in a senior procurement or commercial management role.
- Strong understanding of strategic sourcing and supplier management.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage complex procurement across multiple businesses.
- Experience in the roofing/waterproofing market is desirable but not essential.
- Familiarity with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

- Cost Savings & Value Creation: Achieve agreed annual savings targets and cost avoidance metrics.
- Supplier Performance: Maintain or improve supplier KPIs (quality, delivery, compliance).
- Contract Compliance: 100% of strategic suppliers under formal contracts.
- Process Efficiency: Reduction in procurement cycle times and invoice processing errors.
- Risk Management: Zero major compliance breaches; proactive mitigation of supply chain risks.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Positive feedback from internal stakeholders (measured via surveys).
- Innovation & Sustainability: Incorporate sustainability and innovation into sourcing decisions.
