Our procurement team are looking to add a Head of Global Direct & Indirect Procurement into their team. This will be a site based role with the successful incumbent working at least 3 days per week on-site.
Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement global procurement strategies for all categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational needs.
Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure the best value, quality, and reliability.
Cost Optimization: Drive cost-saving initiatives through effective negotiation, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement, including supply chain disruptions and quality issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with site operations teams, site leadership teams, and other cross-functional and project teams to ensure procurement strategies meet technical specifications and operational requirements.
Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement effectiveness and supplier performance.
Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Sustainability Initiatives: Promote sustainable procurement practices and support the company’s environmental goals.
Stakeholder Management: Manage a complex stakeholder map, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across various sites and functions.
Experience & Qualifications
Experience
15+ years Procurement (direct & indirect) and Supply Chain experience.
10+ years leadership experience.
Global team management experience.
Degree/Master in a relevant discipline.
