The Opportunity

  • Supply Chain Coordinator (6-Month FTC)
  • Location: North Tyneside (Hybrid Working Available)
  • Contract Type: Fixed-Term (6 Months)
  • Hours: 37.5 per week, flexible start/finish times, early finish Fridays

We are working with a well-established manufacturer based in North Tyneside. This global organisation is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their Quality team and support a key material compliance project.

Reporting to the Supplier Quality Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating the collection of material data from a global supplier base, ensuring full compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise directly with suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers to obtain material declarations.
  • Track submission progress and maintain dashboards summarising completion rates and outstanding actions.
  • Escalate delays and non-responses to Strategic Purchasing and Supplier Quality teams.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Compliance, and Purchasing teams to confirm data requirements and priorities.
  • Coordinate supplier progress calls and internal project meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all correspondence is stored in line with project standards.
  • Prepare monthly reports highlighting risks, bottlenecks, and project status.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments and managing multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working with global suppliers across different time zones and cultures.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
