Indirect Buyer

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading West Yorkshire based client to recruit for an Indirect Buyer.

Purpose of job

Take ownership for identifying and driving cost saving initiatives throughout the group on all Indirect spend.

To be responsible for the daily management of Indirect categories

Consult with Internal stakeholders where appropriate to understand their requirements for services

Extract and analyse data to identify opportunities to drive value or consolidate suppliers in the category.

Maintain good relationships.

Key Skills and Experience required

Proven experience in indirect procurement, ideally with exposure to IT, Technology or Professional Services categories.

Demonstrated success leading end-to-end sourcing activities, from market analysis and supplier selection to tendering and negotiation.

Strong understanding of strategic procurement principles

Confident negotiator with working knowledge of contract law and commercial agreements
